Standard resume & CV template
A centred name, contacts gridded with icons, a heavy rule and one column beneath. The plainest page that still looks designed.

What defines this layout
- Sans-serif typeface
- Single column
- No photo
- Headings over a full-width rule
- Dates right-aligned against each role
Every one of these is a setting, not a constraint — accent colour, font, size, spacing and page margins stay yours under Customize, and switching template later re-renders what you’ve written rather than starting it over.
Using Standard as a CV
Standard needs nothing changed to serve as a UK, Irish or Australian CV — those markets mean by "CV" exactly what the US means by "resume", and this is already that document. Add a photo and personal details only if you are applying into continental Europe.
It sits at a normal density, which lands most histories on the two pages a non-academic CV is expected to fit.
More on the differences: CV templates and CV examples.
Is Standard the right choice?
Who it suits
The default when nothing about the application suggests otherwise. Centred, gridded contacts, one column, three columns of skills.
What it does to ATS parsing
Single column with icons that are decorative — the contact text beside them extracts normally. Very safe.
At two pages
Fine. Plain, but nothing about it fails at length.
Use something else if
Aspen for a plainer version, or Halyard for a little more air.
