What defines this layout

Using Nautilus as a CV
Nautilus carries a photo, which is what a continental European CV expects alongside the personal details a British one leaves out. For the UK, Ireland or Australia, turn the photo off in Customize — the layout closes up around it and the rest of the page is unchanged.
It is set tight, which helps on the two-page limit most non-academic CVs are read against.

Who it suits
Sidebar pages where the skills need rating rather than listing. Dots read as a judgement, so use them where you can defend one.
What it does to ATS parsing
Two columns with a filled rail. The dot meters are drawn, not text — the skill names still extract, but the ratings do not.
At two pages
The rail runs out. Set tight, so one page is usually achievable.
Use something else if
Corvette for the same idea with a dated column, or Harbor for meter bars instead of dots.
