A serif name inside a ruled box above a tinted rail. Structured, symmetrical, and a little institutional.

What defines this layout

  • Serif typeface
  • Two columns with a tinted rail
  • No photo
  • Headings with no rule
  • Dates right-aligned against each role

Every one of these is a setting, not a constraint — accent colour, font, size, spacing and page margins stay yours under Customize, and switching template later re-renders what you’ve written rather than starting it over.

Using Keystone as a CV

Keystone works as a British or Australian CV as it stands, where CV and resume name the same two-page document. The second column is the thing to check before sending: copy the text out of the exported PDF and confirm it reads in a sensible order.

It sits at a normal density, which lands most histories on the two pages a non-academic CV is expected to fit.

More on the differences: CV templates and CV examples.

Is Keystone the right choice?

Who it suits

Institutional applications — universities, hospitals, professional bodies. The boxed serif name reads as a letterhead, which is the intent.

What it does to ATS parsing

Two columns with a ruled box around the name. The box is a border and the name inside it is real text.

At two pages

Good, though the box does not repeat and the second page is much plainer.

Use something else if

Bastion for a dark rail instead of a tinted one, or Sandstone for a warmer box.
