What defines this layout

Using Hornet as a CV
Hornet carries a photo, which is what a continental European CV expects alongside the personal details a British one leaves out. For the UK, Ireland or Australia, turn the photo off in Customize — the layout closes up around it and the rest of the page is unchanged.
It sits at a normal density, which lands most histories on the two pages a non-academic CV is expected to fit.

Is Hornet the right choice?
Who it suits
Graphic and high-contrast work where the page is part of the portfolio. Not for conservative industries, and it does not pretend otherwise.
What it does to ATS parsing
Two columns and an edge strip. The strip is decoration a strict reviewer may object to; the text is unaffected.
At two pages
The strip runs the full length, which helps, but the rail does not.
Use something else if
Marigold for the yellow in a band instead, or Quartz for a neutral strip.
