Using Fernwood as a CV
Fernwood carries a photo, which is what a continental European CV expects alongside the personal details a British one leaves out. For the UK, Ireland or Australia, turn the photo off in Customize — the layout closes up around it and the rest of the page is unchanged.
It sits at a normal density, which lands most histories on the two pages a non-academic CV is expected to fit.

Is Fernwood the right choice?
Who it suits
Creative and environmental work where a dark page is a deliberate choice. Deep green prints softer than black and is considerably rarer.
What it does to ATS parsing
The text is real and extracts normally, but a dark page is what makes reviewers nervous. Send a light template if the posting mentions an applicant tracking system.
At two pages
Prints heavily at any length. Think about whether the reader will print it at all.
Use something else if
Obsidian for a near-black version, or Verbena for the same colour on a light page.
