Using Aspen as a CV
Aspen needs nothing changed to serve as a UK, Irish or Australian CV — those markets mean by "CV" exactly what the US means by "resume", and this is already that document. Add a photo and personal details only if you are applying into continental Europe.
It sits at a normal density, which lands most histories on the two pages a non-academic CV is expected to fit.

Is Aspen the right choice?
Who it suits
The one to take when the application is going through an applicant tracking system and you would rather not think about it again. Centred name, one column, no decoration.
What it does to ATS parsing
As safe as it gets. Single column, conventional headings, real text throughout.
At two pages
Fine, though plain — the hairlines give a second page less structure than banded headings would.
Use something else if
Helsinki if you want the same safety with more visual weight, or Halyard for three columns of skills.
